Social listening marketing assignment

For this blog I chose Coca-Cola. Since about the 1990s, they've been accused of a multitude of unethical behaviors including product safety, racial discrimination, pollution, and many more accusations. What interested me about this product is that it's a giant company making it easy to do some research on.

Coca-Cola's brand proposition or "vision" is to craft the kinds of drinks people will love and for it to refresh their spirit and body. A reviewer named John H. commented saying "Just bought Coca-Cola today. 2 liter bottles. It looks like almost a glass or one cup is taken from the bottle. The level used to be maybe a a inch from the top. Do you really think where stupid it's a shame! What next 4 pieces Bread taken out of a wonder bread...you get the idea." This had a singular comment which was my own.

Another comment which was a good review from Barry J M. said "Coca-Cola, one of the world's most iconic beverage brands, continues to deliver a refreshing and consistent experience. With its signature taste and wide range of flavors, Coca-Cola remains a timeless choice for soda enthusiasts. The brand's commitment to quality and global accessibility is commendable, as it consistently maintains its high standards across various markets. Whether enjoyed on its own or used as a mixer, Coca-Cola's familiar and satisfying flavor continues to bring joy to countless consumers worldwide." Which sadly had no comments.

The last comment I'm gonna bring up has kind of an angry comment towards Coca-Cola Jitendra P. said "Coca-Cola has Raised there 20oz bottle prices that is for a Coke vending machine for a Small Business to a point that we had to have Coke take there vending machine and remove from the property, The problem is has been 3 weeks now and the Coke machine has not been picked up after numerous phone calls to the Company which is a loss of money for our Small Business which I don't think Matters to Coca- Cola the Small business is exactly where Coke Started from, So bye bye Coke maybe something to Consider before doing Business With Coco- Cola Bottling Company"
Coca-Cola is trying to promote their drinks in particular they sell, market, and manufacture syrup, beverage concentrates, and finished beverages including teas, coffees, and other types of drinks. Coca-Cola uses social media, T.V. commercials, billboards, and a few other ways mainly digital but a few physical. They use a plethora of YouTube ads and commercials for their marketing campaigns and they make the actors in the ads look very happy and pleased with their products. However, some challenges Coca-Cola faces are the fact that they used to have cocaine in their drinks, the health issues with drinking their product, there was animal testing, environmental issues, and employee issues. Despite these challenges, they did succeed in selling their product but after the famous soccer player Cristiano Ronaldo pushed away their product in a live interview their sales dropped. They are staying afloat and their sales have started rising slowly.
They communicate with their customers through multiple different platforms like Twitter (or X if you will), Facebook, Snapchat, and even YouTube. They respond mainly to customer satisfaction and it's a good thing they do because after that drop from the famous soccer player, they ended up coming up with different ads and communicating with their customers to continue buying their product.
If I were the brand manager I would have reached out to those who want different flavors and find a way to implement flavored cokes in different areas and different social environments and I would make discounts for certain requirements being met as like punch cards or an app for people to sign up to and get discounts on the products.
